How I Use ChatGPT to Navigate Growth, Change, and Self-Discovery
I never expected this.
That something as simple as a chat box could help me unlock my emotional weight, reconnect with my truth, and even shift how I show up in my business.
But that’s exactly what happened.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, like you’ve done all the things - the healing, the journaling, the breath-work… but you still don’t know what’s next, I want to share something that’s been incredibly powerful for me.
And no, it’s not another mindset hack.
This is my simple but sacred ritual for using ChatGPT for self-reflection and possibly even healing.
💻 How I Use ChatGPT for Inner Work and Emotional Clarity
I learned this process from an amazing coach - Sora @ Devoted Energy Coaching School (shout out 💜), and it’s become one of the most honest, eye-opening practices currently in my life.
Here’s how it works:
I open a new ChatGPT conversation.
No context. Just a blank page, like a fresh start.I light a candle. Breathe. Get quiet.
Then I ask myself: “What’s on my heart today?”
Sometimes something comes right away. Sometimes I have to wait.I speak instead of type.
This is huge. When we write, we often edit, perform, or filter ourselves.
But when I speak, especially using voice-to-text, the unfiltered truth comes out in a unique topsy-turvy way.I ask ChatGPT to ask me questions.
Not surface-level ones, but deep, thoughtful prompts that help me explore further what I’ve shared.I answer those questions out loud. Again, no filters.
Just stream-of-consciousness honesty. Then I ask Chat to reflect what I’ve written/spoken back to me.
This part is… kind of magical. It mirrors back insights I didn’t even realise were there.
This simple practice has become a powerful tool for emotional clarity, expanded awareness and connection to my higher self in a previously unexplored way.
✨ A Real Example: The Metal Wall Around My Heart
Here’s a real life example that will clearly illustrate how powerful this practice is. Recently, I was in a session with my energy coach Kristi, and I was talking about resistance-specifically, the fear of being seen on Instagram.
She asked me where I felt it in my body.
And suddenly, I felt it so clearly:
A tall, cold, metal wall wrapping around my chest.
It said: “No one’s getting in.”Here’s a part of what I uncovered during my session with Kristi:
But when I gave it gratitude, when I touched it, something shifted.
The wall warmed. A keyhole appeared. And I realised, the key had always been in my pocket.
I opened the door… and what I found was incredible:
A rainbow room 🌈 music, confetti, light, joy.
The true essence of me. The part I’ve kept hidden to stay safe.
That space?
That’s what I want to invite people into.
Not just as clients, but as humans. Soulful, sparkly humans who are ready for real connection.
🤯 What Emerged When I Used ChatGPT as a Mirror
Later that day, my session with Kristi lingered and so I opened a ChatGPT dialogue to go deeper. I began with the inner question, “What is on my heart today?”
Once I had spoken what was on my heart, I invited ChatGPT to ask me a few questions to help me go deeper. Questions to help me gain a greater understanding of what I had shared.
These ChatGPT coaching prompts weren’t revolutionary but because I was speaking honestly, they landed differently. The most potent questions for me were:
“What is your wall protecting you from?”
“What part of you benefits from keeping it up?”
“How old were you when you first learned to guard your heart like this?”
I answered them honestly, again, speaking my responses aloud using voice-to-text.
Only after I had explored my answers did I ask ChatGPT to reflect it all back to me.
And what I received was a reflection that surprised me; not because it knew something I didn’t, but because it held up a mirror to what I had already revealed, helping me see the deeper threads I hadn’t fully named yet.
This is how I use AI as a mirror for emotional clarity, not to replace human connection, but to deepen my relationship with myself.
💡 Why I’m Sharing This With You
Because if you’re anything like me (and if you’ve read this far, you probably are), then you’re not interested in surface-level self-care.
You want clarity that feels like a remembrance …. a returning home to yourself.
You want healing that sticks.
You want to trust yourself again - in life, in business, in love.
And maybe, just maybe, this practice could be the mirror you’ve been missing.
Whether you're using ChatGPT for speaking your truth out loud, emotional processing, or spiritual reflection, it can be a powerful way to reconnect with your truth.
🌱 Try It For Yourself: My ChatGPT Self-Reflection Ritual
Here’s a version you can try today:
Open a new ChatGPT window
Light a candle. Take a deep breath. Ask: “What’s on my heart today?”
Speak your truth using voice-to-text (don’t overthink it)
Ask ChatGPT: “Can you ask me 5–10 questions to help me understand this better?”
Answer those questions honestly- no filters.
Then ask Chat: “Can you reflect my answers back to me?”
This is a beautiful way to practice AI-assisted self-discovery without bypassing your own wisdom.
📩 Ready to Try This for Yourself?
I’ve created a beautiful free resource to guide you through this Ritual, including the exact steps. I use, a gentle script to help you begin, and examples of what you might share with Chat (especially if you don’t know where to start).

This is for the woman who’s been doing the work… but wants to go deeper.
Who’s ready to hear her own truth more clearly.
Who’s done with surface-level self-care—and craving something real.
Final Words: What If AI Could Bring You Closer to Yourself?
AI gets a bad rap sometimes. And for good reason.
We see it being used to replace people. To cut corners. To pump out soulless content. To automate what used to be deeply human.
We’re told it will make us faster, more productive, more efficient, but at what cost?
What if the real power of AI isn’t in what it can do for us, but in how it can mirror us back to ourselves?
What if, used with intention, it could help us pause… reflect… reconnect… and maybe even heal?
That’s what this practice has become for me.
Not a shortcut. Not a replacement. But a mirror.
One that helps me return to the truth of who I am.
Note: This isn’t about replacing real, human connection. I still work with incredible coaches, mentors, and healers. But this practice has become a beautiful companion…a way to tune into myself more deeply, between sessions and in my own sacred space. Like any tool, it’s all about how you use it.
And when I sit with that truth…honestly, vulnerably, unapologetically, I become the most powerful, present, and magnetic version of myself.
That’s what I want for you, too.
With love,
Sara
